Hotel Ambadi is situated at the Periyar Tiger Reserves (Kerala, India), is one of the first private sector resorts in Kerala. Designed by the world renowned architect Mr. Lauwrie Baker, the hotel was conceptualized on the traditional architectural splendor of a typical Kerala village, complete with a thulasi thara and nallukettu.

Ambadi offers 46 well appointed rooms,under three different categories. The hotel has 24 independent cottages constructed in traditional Kerala ambience.
Types of rooms:
- Duplex Rooms
Designed keeping in mind the traditional architectural ambience of Kerala, duplex rooms include a bedroom, an attached sitting room, balconies and a sitout. Rooms have a mache which is a masterpiece of traditional Kerala architecture. Killivathils (a perched lookout attached to a window to view the world around , from the cozy interiors of your room) are also a standard feature in the rooms
- Deluxe Rooms
Attached sitouts, television, telephone, 24 hr hot water, and all other modern amenities
- Cottage
Constructed in traditional ambience, the tiled roofed cottages have arras & nirras i.e. the wooden stores attached to traditional Kerala houses for storing rice. The rooms have balconies, sitouts, telephone, 24 hr running hot water, bathtubs and other facilities.

Adithi, the multi cuisine restaurant awaits you with a wide range of dishes from around the globe, ranging from Indian, Chinese, and Continental, to local Kerala cuisine.

Enjoy an elephant ride to the forest interior. Elephant rides are organized at the Periyar Sanctuary by the Forest department.

Daily sight seeing trips are arranged to the wildlife sanctuary and the Periyar lake.
- Trekking
Ambadi is located very close to the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary, and a short stroll will get you to the sanctuary in minutes. Visit cardamom, pepper, coffee and tea plantations, where you can have an inside view at the growing ,harvesting, processing stages of these products. A guide will accompany tourists on a trek which is of around 3 - hour duration.
